Basic Concepts of ICT
The word ICT is a compination of two words. That are Information, Communication and Technology.
Information means knowledge and Technology means the use of computer and communication.
The term ICT can be define as: "The integration of computing, networking, and information processing technologies and their applications"
Information and Communication Technology in education is the mode of education that use ICT to support, enhance and optimise the delivery of information. Worldwide research has shown that ICT can lead to an improved student learning and better teacing methods.
Basic knowledge of ICT
The skills needed to use efficiently the elementary funktions of information and communication technologies to retrieve, assess, store, produce, present and exchange information, and to communicate and participate in collaborative networks via the internet.
There are 3 concepts of ICT
hence, ICT has the potential to support the three marin aspects of sustainable development-people, profit, and planet-which can be found in the so-called Triple Bottom Line approach.
